The Momentive RTV159 - Silicone Adhesive Sealant - 2.8oz - Red from Dow Corning. RTV157 and RTV159 silicone adhesive sealants are acetoxy room-temperature-curing, one-component adhesives that are generally ready to use and exhibit extremely high strength. They typically cure to tough, resilient silicone rubber on exposure to atmospheric moisture at room temperature, and are noted to provide high-temperature performance - RTV157 silicone adhesive sealant is a grade able to withstand 400° F continuous operating temperature, and RTV159 silicone adhesive sealant can typically withstand 500° F of continuous operating temperature for extreme temperature demands. Generally used in all types of industrial applications, especially in aviation applications such as bonding the lighting housing on the outside of airplanes, these products have the potential to withstand the high heat of the lights and the high strength necessary to survive the wind shear on the outside of a plane.
