Phillips 66® Victory AW 20W-50 is an ashless dispersant, multi-grade engine oil built specifically for year-round use in aircraft piston engines. Unlike a single-grade oil, it delivers easier cold starts, faster oil circulation at low temperatures, shorter warm-up times, and reduced oil consumption in most engines, while still holding its film strength under high loads and high operating temperatures to guard against wear and piston scuffing.

 

This formulation comes pre-blended with the anti-scuff/anti-wear additive (LW-16702) called for in Lycoming Service Bulletins 446E and 471B and Service Instruction 1409C, so there's no need to add a separate Lycoming-approved additive package yourself. The ashless dispersant chemistry also helps keep the engine cleaner by minimizing sludge, varnish, and piston/combustion chamber deposits compared to straight, non-dispersant mineral oils.
